Woolwich in shock na brute terreurdaad

In het zuidoosten van Londen, in de wijk Woolwich, is woensdag op straat een man met kapmessen om het leven gebracht. Het slachtoffer, een militair, werd door twee mannen aangevallen. Ze gingen daarbij volgens een getuige 'als beesten' te keer. De televisiekijkers zagen een van de daders op televisie uitleggen waarom hij het had gedaan. Extreemrechtse demonstranten van de English Defence League (EDL) gingen daarna 's avonds in Londen de straat op uit woede over de moord op een Britse militair.
